In this episode of the Thyroid Answers Podcast, I am joined by Dr. Kelly Halderman to interview Dr. Christian Gonzalez of Heal Thyself Podcast. Dr. G as he is commonly known is an expert in environmental toxicity.
In this episode we discuss:
Dr. Gonzalez completed a two-year residency position at the competitive Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Here, he became proficient in Integrative Oncology through exposure to various disciplines and modalities. Dr. Gonzalez’s rare balance of focus and bedside manner during his residency caused him to grow very popular amongst his peers and patients. He left the center having treated over 700 patients and having a long-lasting effect on them physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
He completed his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2014. His doctorate work included a thesis reviewing the current and complementary treatments for bladder cancer. As part of his training, Christian completed clinical rotations in pediatrics, general medicine, oncology, physical medicine, botanical, and mind-body medicine, along with a preceptorship at the NYU Langone Integrative Urology Center.
Dr. Gonzalez applies the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal itself when given favorable conditions to thrive. He works in finding the root cause of imbalance and giving the body what it needs to heal while removing obstacles to restoring health. He carries this very mantra to all his patients/clients to find long-term healing.
Currently, Dr. Gonzalez is not seeing patients and is focusing his energy on mass education. Dr. Gonzalez is currently the host of a weekly podcast called "Heal Thy Self" which features some of the top voices in the health profession and surpassed 2 million downloads in its first year. He has been featured in many of the top health/wellness podcasts and national media where he teaches about breast cancer prevention, toxins in your home, and the power of the mind/body connection.
Dr. Gonzalez enjoys yoga, meditation, dancing, and songwriting
In this episode, I have a great conversation with Rebekah Stump discussing thermography.
We cover:
I think it is a bit crazy that we traumatize a woman's breast tissue on a regular basis to try and identify signs of breast cancer. Just the damage of squashing the tissue and radiating it puts a woman at greater risk of developing breast cancer. There must be a better way! And, that is what this conversation is all about.
Rebekah Stump is the owner of Thermography of Houston - a clinic providing thermography and ultrasound screenings, as well as functional health coaching in Houston, TX. She completed her training as a clinical thermographer in 2009 at the American College of Clinical Thermology and completed further certification as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner in 2020. Her first interest in natural medicine began when she worked for her mother, a naturopath, and nutritional consultant, and saw firsthand the body’s amazing ability to recover and thrive when supported naturally. Her clinic provides screenings at 10 different locations around the Houston area, as well as in West Texas and New Mexico.
